The dex is built around two ideas: you should find a creature quickly, and the detail view should answer follow-up questions without extra hunting. Search looks at names and key fields so common spellings and fragments still work.
Filters complement search when you are browsing rather than targeting one entry. Use them to slice by type, habitat links, or other attributes depending on what the current game data exposes in the app.
If something seems missing after an update, it is often a data refresh on our side rather than your install. Force-closing and reopening the app after an update is a good first step; if a listing is still wrong, contact support with a screenshot so we can trace it.
